One of my favorite parts of blogging has been meeting so many incredible new women — both fellow bloggers and readers — and discovering new brands along the way. Recently, mostly style bloggers in our area, who we’ve jokingly dubbed Palm Beach Blogger Babes, have been meeting monthly for lunches or shopping dates. Earlier this spring, the gals from Palm Beach Lately coordinated a meet up at J. McLaughlin at its Worth Avenue store on Palm Beach. New to the brand, I immediately gravitated toward a few classic pieces, including these shorts, this blouse and all the fun print scarves like this one. All have such versatility, and the quality is superior (I can vouch: I’ve been wearing these to death).
I wore this look over the weekend to a gorgeous, al fresco Cinco de Mayo/boxing match party at Heather’s, a fantastic friend and a talented event planner (even her casual gatherings are perfect!). Since both pieces are solids, I adore how this clutch really livened up the look. As a heads up, I know you can find cheaper scalloped shorts however these are not your basic cotton pair… needed to confess that from one average girl to another who is always scoping out a “deal.” The fabric is more luxe, and has not wrinkled at all even after sitting, walking, and that’s wearing multiple times. Just makes it look more polished, so I know they’ll last in my closet. This blouse has been on heavy rotation for work as well, frequently adding in fun necklaces to break up the white.
By the way, wearing a few pieces from Kendra Scott’s beautiful new Via Maya line. If you’ve been following here for a while you know I’m a huge Kendra Scott fan. I’ve been buying her items for years. Her jewelry is gorgeous… and honestly, fun; I just love how her earrings brighten up my outfits, and a few of her bracelets add such freshness to a look. You can’t beat it when nearly everything is under $100 or close to it. The new smaller necklaces in the Via Maya line are awesome for spring; they’d be beautiful for a pop of color on their own, or cute to layer with longer ones.
