Doesn’t yellow just brighten your day? I must confess that yellow is a new hue for this girl but one I’m eager to embrace. I love how bright and sunshine-y (that’s not a word is it?!) it feels, and really helps an entire outfit pop. The same could be said for cobalt blue and a range of other brights, and in this instance, I love how the two pair together. I can see this becoming a frequent summer combo.
I recently got these shorts at J. Crew Factory, now available in two other prints. Last summer I purchased a pair of these and would consider another… it’s the perfect length and has a comfy wide waistband that flatters instead of cinches. For reference, while some of their clothes run large, I am wearing a size 4 here, or wear a size small in the shorts.

I do love wearing this shade of yellow too, it always makes me feel so cheery. I have the same print of your shorts in top that I got at J Crew last year and it’s one of my favorite tops. There’s so many color options to pair with it.

I seriously need a yellow rain jacket for two reasons. 1. Yellow is my favorite color and 2. on a gloomy rainy day, I need a little sunshine in my life! Love the look!

As a fellow 30 year old redhead I have to say I like your blog for many things - but i always find it interesting to see your fashion choices because you make me question my own lol. I have always been told the “redheads don’t wear pink and red” thing and then I see you wearing pink and red and it looks good and i think why the hell am i not wearing pink and red?!
