In past years, my coverups have primarily been relatively cheap, often super flattering dresses or oversized tops, some even that I decided I didn’t love enough to wear daily, so viola, cover up! Last year and even more so this year, I’m finding cute, stylish cover-ups to be key to putting together a great beach or pool day look, many of which can work to a casual brunch afterward as well.

This one is a recent score from J. Crew Factory, which has a 40% off plus free shipping sale today.  The fabric is so soft, light weight and breathable, and it has shape without it being too tight (i.e. your suit isn’t building underneath). Plus, how cute is this print? As a side note, I’ve been heading to J. Crew’s factory store for my kids now, too. I love the J. Crew feel without that paintful price tag.

As for coverups, I’ve picked up a few more cover-ups, one from the Lilly Pulitzer for Target sale, and another at a little boutique but there are so many cute options out there right now, so in addition to this, see below for more fun options out there as well.

beachday3 Two things: one, sorry for the photo quality. Gorgeous sun day, brutal for snapping a few pics. Real girl problems. :) Two, these sunglasses from Woodzee are my new favorites. The mirrored frames are so cute, and this shape is so impressively flattering. During this beach day, they wound up getting passed to no less than six women, all of whom looked amazing in them. Did I mention they’re made of wood (so cool up close) and ultra lightweight? I’ve been wearing them two weeks straight.
