It’s so funny to say that “black and white” is trending right now, or it’s having a moment because doesn’t that  happen nearly every season or two? Regardless, no complaints from this girl since it’s one of the easiest, most classic pairings… and something most of us already have in our closet. As part of our 3rd style series with TJ Maxx, we were tasked with creating a b+w look from pieces at our local store! EASY. My store my brimming with options, and I was beyond thrilled to find striped number with a perfect fit for just $16.99. Steal! This dress is great on it’s own, or I’d add a cardigan (in black, or even bright pink if I wanted to play with color) and more conservative heels to make it work appropriate. Or, stick on a pair of flats and you’re ready for a weekend art festival (err, or errands).

To keep the style fresh for spring, I added a bold lip and toe nail polish to brighten up the look. I’ve been sticking to my white nail polish, which works perfectly here, because it brightens up  — and coordinates! with every outfit.

The heels are so fun, right? If you’re tentative with the trend, these are amazing to wear with your LBD, or even a fantastic pair of black ankle length trouser pants. More shy? Pair them with a pair of jeans or wide-leg pants so only the toe shows (you tease! haha).

There’s a lot more where these wind-blown photos came from. Most have me looking like a crazy lady! It’s not easy trying to look relaxed with crazy winds and friends recognizing/honking at you on their drive home from work. #mortified #soembarrassed
