This Florida girl always wondered why editors and bloggers were so enamored by the denim shirt in the summer. I mean, I get it, they’re cute and are great for layering in a chilly office or restaurant however in Florida I typically want to strip off the clothes, not bring any extra with me. It’s insane here in the summer. However, the love of the denim button down became abundantly clear while in Vermont. This denim shirt became my best friend. No joke: it got layered over this Crew Cuts girl’s dress, with this exact style and with lots more (you’ll see one final look on Monday). I now can’t wait to wear it all Fall.
These new kicks from Unstitched remind me of a modern take on Ked’s yet they’re totally eco and vegan friendly. These light pink sneaks with cool detailing are also definitely a fun addition to any wardrobe.
The denim shirt: the perfect update to my cardigans! PS: Curious what I wore last year in Vermont? Here’s a quick week-long recap (loving the growing out bangs!).
denim shirt: j. crew factory (darker wash for fall) || tee: target (just $8!… comes in a dozen colors)|| jeans: forever 21 (just $10!) || sneakers: c/o unstitched utilities || sunnies: marc by marc jacobs ( in olive; also similar, all under $100) || monogram necklace: bauble bar (first time orders get $10 off)|| watch: michael kors || nails: essie playdate
Pssst: just the weekend left to enter to win your own Maya Brenner initial gold necklace. Amazing, really.
