One of the best parts of summer is that is that most office environments can swing a bit more casual. I’m not talking about showing too much skin, wearing inappropriate footwear or donning cut-offs, but an outfit like this is totally workable in our office environment, and for most of our clients. It’s about finding pieces with great versatility that you can dress up or down. For example, these lilac chinos from Gap can be worn for work, or pair them with sandals and a flowy tank for weekend wear. If you’re in a chilly office — you know, the one where the AC cranks down as soon as the temps rise — keep a bright cardigan with you to layer.
Oh, and can you tell my love of the bubble necklace endures? This pretty hue — which I accidentally had near these lilac pants and recognized the instant color love connection — is perfect for any season. Layer it over a lacy white summer dress, or over a sweater in the winter, and both totally work. By the way, the necklace is via gracie b., a new-to-me online shop that has the cutest things (love the dresses!) at a great price point.
