One of the favorite things I rediscovered while in New York last weekend is how brown boots go with everything. As you know from last year’s post, I totally believe black and brown can look awesome together yet I don’t always think about my brown riding boots as universally as they should. I picked up this army green and black Zara dress over the weekend (you must click to see the details better; the faux leather detailing along the necklace totally sold me) and while I probably would have styled it differently had I been home, I paired it with brown boots — i.e. the only available option in the hotel room — and adore the result. The color contrast is better in person but, hey, this is an iPhone photo, so apologies, but it is what it is. Forgive me?
