This outfit totally depicts how I’ve been feeling lately (blue! check out the vent sesh this week for details) and is an ode to a color that has been among my favorite since I was eight years old. Man, I loved my blue. Blue and stripes and the 12-year old version of this chick was a happy girl. Now that I found my chambray shirt at the J. Crew outlet I’ve been dying to wear it all the time. I wore it a few weeks ago with pink denim (a brief glimpse here) and here it is, denim on denim style, for super casual. Funny how denim on denim was such a “no” just a year or two ago and now it’s a major “yes” (just go for color contrast when doing so).
What I love about this outfit is think about how easily this outfit changes with shoes (and perhaps a tote to a clutch, too). And, this is a glimpse at my “ballerina bun.” In reality it’s my lazy ‘do that happens about three times per week until I find a minute to blow dry my hair. As long as I keep it slicked back (I use Garnier hairspray) I’m in good shape.
