Red lips are a print I’ve already adored — in style, in art, in any form — for years, yet this average girl has never been totally sure she can pull it off in a major way. So when I saw the Scotch Colors and Patterns Duct Tape print I knew it was my opportunity to create something I could wear for a little sexy sass…. and a belt perfectly bit the bill. I mean how good is this print?? I’m so smitten, and perk: this DIY is so easy that even this DIY + time-time challenged gal easily pulled it off!

INSTRUCTIONS
I created this using just two long pieces of the Scotch tape. Roll out a long piece of tape and place the belt, leather side down in the middle, so there’s room above and below to wrap it. For the rounded edge, simply leave a little extra to cover; the tape forms really easily so you’re not left with wrinkles or obvious DIY work.
For the second part, affix the tape until just before the belt loop.
Cut an approx. two-inch piece of tape and — here’s where you simply need to eye — cut it to the exact size of the belt because you won’t have room to fold around the buckle. Using the scissor — and this is why a sharp blade is so important — cut down the middle to enable room for the long clip/clasp thing.
Belt holes: simply take the tip of your super sharp scissor and poke!
TIP: Use tape (I used black) on the back side to reinforce the top and bottom edges. I opted against taping the belt loop for concern the added thickness would start to cause the tape to rub/break after tip.
