Ahh, date night! We headed to Hard Rock in Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday night to see Jerry Seinfeld and I had about two seconds to throw something together. I’ve seen seeing bloggers put an oversize blouse with a skirt and the ‘drop waist’ style is in now, so I thought, hey, let’s try this while I’ll be in another city. Ha! So much to get dressed up when it’s doubtful you’ll run into other people you know, right? I know it brings out the adventurer in me. While this isn’t crazy or anything, it was a new style for me and I’m loving the result. Since the skirt has an elastic waist the blouse didn’t work partially tucked in so instead I hiked up the skirt a bit, and let the shirt hang (with the skirt at the original length, it looked blah, the dimensions were off). I adore how the ankle straps give it a sexy vibe, even though my top half is totally covered.

I linked to this fabulous mint dress + this amazing little polka dot number this morning however I don’t think I gave them enough attention; so here they are! And the sandals? Just a gratuitous mention for these cuties — which are 100 percent leather and less than $40! — that I ‘pinned’ a few weeks ago and have been eying since.
Layered dress, in mint or lavender: Is this the most amazing dress ever? Not only is it pretty figure flattering it’s incredibly on trend and a $30 version of ones much, much pricier! I won’t tell if you won’t. Perfect for a summer wedding or shower, or just a day when you want to feel extra special. Rough it up with a denim jacket.
