Maxi dresses rock my world. Instead of scouring your closet for the perfect combo, slip on a maxi and you’re totally put together…. even moreso than a mini or knee-length option. There’s just so effortlessly cool, and it takes a second to slip on. Hair back, fun sparkly headband and my new denim vest obsession, and it looks like I was out of the shower for more than 10 minutes (I was not!). Tricked you. 
Because there’s a lot of fabric, the key is to find a maxi with the right amount for your body: not too little (and not too short of a hemline!), and not so much that it adds bulk. Personally I’m a huge fan of pattern, like this gorgeous ikat style from Orchid Boutique (love supporting individual business owners). Big, truth reason? No VPLs (visible panty lines!)! I’ve been sticking to seamless bikinis like this, yet you’d never know. Good rule: if you can see the panty line, the dress is too tight.
Is “mountain style” a thing? Ha, doubtful but that’s the best title I had (been a bit under the weather). This is the last Vermont-related post, promise, however just had to share these amazing views, and the outfit I wore. When Adam and I took an overnight to Stowe we heard that at the top of the mountain — about a 10 minute drive — you could take a gondola further up for breathtaking views and to enjoy lunch at the Cliff House (or bring your own for a little picnic!). It really made our mini getaway so special, and one I’d definitely do again. Beautiful, right?
