tj maxx fall style: layering

Monday’s outfit was all about how a Florida girl can integrate Fall style, even the temps are not dropping (yet). Today’s post — the last in our Fall Style Series with T.J.Maxx is all about layering. Shockingly it was slightly on the cool side yesterday — ok, 82 instead of 88 — so it was a great opportunity to add an extra layer… in this case, a cardigan. For fun, I tossed on this cute scarf that’s perfect for when the weather starts to cool yet I’m not ready to bulk up on the layers. That’s the art of a cardigan, too. The slouchy style works for work to weekend, and the army green hue is so on trend for fall. It’s perfect. Would love it over a dress, too, if you’re someone who has tossed around the idea of an army green vest or jacket but haven’t felt quite ready to take the plunge. Oh, and can we talk about the leather baseball hat? Yeah, I’m so not cool enough for it but love it just the same! I’m excited to rock it to greenmarkets and other festivals this fall when I don’t have time — or effort, or energy! — to do the ‘do.

Another fun fall trend?! Deep lips! This average girl is finally getting the guts to wear a bolder lip and it’s been fun playing around with colors from red to purple and everything in between. If you’re unsure, heading to your local T.J.Maxx is definitely a good call; their beauty department keeps growing so you can pick up a few new colors (nails included!), without the pressure of a full price purchase.  Are you playing around with a more bold lip?
