When looking through my closet I realized I have way too many cotton tees/tanks and not enough great camisoles/shells/blouses that seamlessly transition from work to weekend. I so drawn at stores — and especially during these sales — to pick up easy tees, stripes and other casual pieces. Since I work though in an office five days a week, these don’t really enhance my wardrobe. I’m getting tough on myself (I’ve even returned a few new-ish pieces that fit into the later category) to find more styles like this Ann Taylor tank. Obsessed in a major way. Not only do I have a thing for white anything, this top goes equally as perfectly with these Gap shorts as it does with dressier pants, or jeans. I’m letting this piece be the reminder I need for how my closet needs to transition. Baby steps.
Check out a few close-ups (the espadrilles are an ombre pattern!), where to buy, plus a little girl eager to get in on the action…
PS: apologies these photos are a little… eh. Wish they were brighter but man, it’s been impossible to find a time to take photos when it’s not raining — and by raining I mean hurricane-like monsoon, and my husband and I were both home to take photos. {blogger probs}
Close-up required of these awesome ombre espadrille flats. I wore my ikat Soludos to death last year so needless to say I had a moment when they sent me these (since I had just been on Shopbop looking at the entire selection (which inspired this footwear post, ps).
This cutie wasn’t content behind the photographer assistant, and jumped in just about as many pictures as we took! Couldn’t resist sharing just one…
