What I would give to have each of you taste these before I tell you the secret ingredient. These are GOOD. Yes, an all capital GOOD. They’re moist, super chocolately, and shock and awe: healthy! They’re no flour, gluten-free brownies I made for a recent girls night in (more on that early next week!) by one of my favorite food bloggers, Chocolate Covered Katie. The girl knows how to bake a sweet treat… without loading on the calories. #win. A few of my friends are already obsessed with Katie’s recipes and they’re not the only one; 64,000+ follow her on Facebook!
Ok, tangent! Sorry. Back to why we’re all here: the shockingly good brownies. Ready for the secret ingredient? Here goes… it’s….. black beans! I know, crazy, but when pulverized in the food processor along with a few other ingredients they become these insanely tasty treats. Two girlfriends were in on it but the others had no clue so no one ate the brownies until I insisted they were healthy. They slowly veered toward the platter, and… let’s just say I luckily made a double batch.

Head over to Chocolate Covered Katie to access! The brownies take less than 20 minutes to make, and just need a little time to chill before serving. Try it, and let us know on Twitter or Instagram (@avggirlsguide for both platforms) what you think. Would love to see a pic!
psssst: picture proof that there’s beans in these brownies. Must try this and share your thoughts!
