My love of Birchbox continues with my August shipment.

Did you read about this last month? It’s a box of deluxe beauty products delivered to your door each month for just $10 (includes shipping). Even me, a non-beauty junkie, adores this! It offers everything from previews of new products to those that might typically be out of my price range. The samples are such a great size that you get multiple uses out of each one… plenty to let you know if it’s something worth purchasing.

Are you a Birchbox fan? As you know, I’m not a super pushy gal but this one I might just have to put on the peer pressure because I love it so.

    Wow! We got completely different stuff in our boxes. The only thing the same was the hair tie! I got great stuff, but I’m a little jealous of yours. Been wanting to try the Photo Finish Primer.

    same here, I got blinc mascara, befine exfoliant, befine night cream, a great new kate spade perfume “twirl” and the hair tie.

    I have not yet signed up for this service….I keep seeing either really great boxes for the month of August or really not so impressive ones! This was definitely one of the better ones I’d say :)

    what do you think of ouidad gel? all their products are pretty good. i find the gel to be a bit crunchy if you dont have some sort of leave in conditioner already on your hair.

    Yours is totally different than mine this time! I loved mine, but wouldn’t mind trying that shaveworks stuff. I have super sensitive skin, so I am always looking for something to help with razor burn!

    I’ve been doing birch box since Jan, at first I loved it. I have to say I get total crap month after month. I even got a sample of toothpaste once-really? The only one that was good was August’s, and I think it was because it was standard for everyone across the board. I’ve finally decided to cancel because I’d be much better off using the $10 each month to buy a full size product down the road than a bunch of random samples that I could get for free anyway. Sorry for the negativity, but it gets old fast after a few months.

    I lovelovelovelovelove this Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. I buy it all the time and have to wear it constantly. It’s the only thing that doesn’t sweat off my face.

    Mine was completely different than yours this month too. And… it was the first month that I was incredibly disappointed.

    And that hair tie, btw? WTF. I felt like it was a lame add. The thing came completely untied and apart before I was able to even put it “around my wrist” as the card suggested, save for actually wearing as a hair tie. And to be honest, I thought it was just an extra piece of ribbon that accidentally was placed in my box.

    I dunno, this month felt… cheap. YOURS, however, looks luxe — as mine have the past few months.

    I would have been happy to get a sample of toothpaste. That’s how lame my box was this month. Plus, isn’t there a reason we fill out a survey before subscribing — so they know our skin/hair/habits/etc. Why the hell did I get OIL to put in my hair? Um, no. Never going to use that ever. I have enough oil, thankyouverymuch.
