Weekly Roundup

Can’t believe we’re already halfway through August. September will be here before we know it and I’m so excited to be attending part of New York Fashion Week and a blogger conference hosted by Lucky Magazine. Plus, I get to meet some incredible bloggers I’ve gotten to know via the internets the past two years. My heart is already thumping! As for this week, I’m finally starting to feel better after my bout with pneumonia and have had some time to catch up with some blog reading and all about the posts here. Enjoy!

Everyone needs some chocolate oatmeal in their life. Especially when it looks like this (and only costs ya 160 calories. Love that Chocolate Covered Katie!).

Meet 44 Female Founders You Should Know via Mashable. Total inspiration/creative overload… I love it!

Last week I shared with you an article in Daybook about how we all often auto-reply with “good but busy” when asked how we’re doing. If you can relate, read Victoria’s follow-up which suggests reasons why we do this. So spot-on.

Just discovered that the author of my favorite new must-read, Glitter and Pearls, is not only a South Fla. gal, too, she’s a sorority sister from UF (just a few years apart) and we have tons of friends in common. Yay for blogging world! Funny that when we meet in September… it will be in NYC!

Wow, a must DIY: gorgeous (simple!) rose gold dainty necklaces on …love Maegan. So pretty.

Target announces its latest collaboration with Kirna Zabete that debuts in Fall. Lots of covetable fall styles! Check them out on The Budget Babe.

This Monday, I started a new gluten-free lifestyle. Not a ‘diet,’ a ‘lifestyle’ (learned the term differentiation in Weight Watchers years ago!) and it’s been a huge adjustment. If you’re a gf-girl, feel free to take me under your wing with any tips, links, recipes or sites you have found helpful.

And, I can totally justify this amazing sequin mini right? After seeing it in countless mags, and on Refinery 29 and Glitter Guide, it really needs to be mine. This 30-something mana honestly can’t stop thinking about it.
