Every girl needs an LWD — that perfect little white dress where you feel gorgeous, ethereal and all good things. Summer is the best time to rock the LWD, particularly if you’ve gotten a little extra golden hue on your skin to contrast against the white dress, whether it’s a classic shift, an effortless flowy style, one designed with lace or eyelet, or one with great cut-out details. It’s also an awesome 4th of July option… just play up red and blue accessories. Check out our inspiration, even this fun article featuring celebs rocking their LWD, and then check out our favorite white dress finds for summer.

Just a few quick tips:
- Consider your undergarments! Go for nude (that closely matches your skin tone), not white; it shows.
- Avoid too clingy fabrics in unforgiving styles. While that’s a general rule of thumb, it’s even more important with white.
- Do a see-thru check! Yes, you can wear a slip but if you’re like me in Florida that extra layer might be too much. Can’t tell you how many dresses and linen pants I’ve left at the store because I could see my legs or tush? Countless.

If only you could see my face each day I walk in the office! After suffering for a year looking at a sad, mostly empty entry way for my PR, marketing and digital media biz, Seligman Brand Strategies, my begging to Target finally paid off! They connected me to Nate Berkus, a super talented interior designer I’ve admired for more than a decade since I first saw him on Oprah. All these years later, he’s still pretty easy on the eyes — and now has an insane (and, perk: ultra affordable) line with Target, among a million other accomplishments.

I’m honored he took the time to help our sad, pitiful space into a home we’re proud of clients, prospects and friends. I mean, I SHOWED NATE THESE BEFORE PHOTOS…

I spoke to Nate a few months ago {enter 14-year old girl screaming to One Direction-type sound here} and after I got past my super nerdy moment I just thoroughly enjoyed talking to him, hearing his honesty and smart approach to design that all us average girls can successfully integrate into our spaces.

And, ready for this?? Here is just one of the AFTER PHOTOS (much more after the jump!):

Office Makeover, Inspiration Board

OK… now keep reading Nate’s wise words for this office as well as your spaces, to see the before and after pictures, and links to nearly everything you see here. Hate to encourage spending, but there are some major must-haves here, for office or your home. Keep Reading —>>

how to wear: camo print

August 21, 2013

Can I tell you that this girl is having a moment that camo’s gone mainstream? It’s been around before but it’s getting big… and I’m all over it. Maybe now that country music with the likes of like Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and all of NBC’s The Voice has won over the country, camo is going with it… whatever it is, this girl is on board. We’ve always loved the rugged green vibe and are enjoying the new color palettes on-the-scene, too. Check out this major inspiration, TAGG’s favorite fall picks + tips to pull off the pattern!

how to wear camo for fall

with a leather jacket // leopard // plum heels (these! love this color combo!) // with jeans + heels
with a white dress (or cream for fall) // tee + jacket // denim jacket

OK, so how can you mix it in? Check out all these fun options; I recently added the ringer tee and denim skinnies, and can’t get the denim shirt and sweater out of my head!

Camo Styles for Fall 2013

sweatshirt // denim button-down // sweater //  flats //  jacket // dress // bright camo scarf // skinny jeans // belt //camo ringer tee // utility skirt

TIPS TO WEAR CAMO {if you’re over 18}
- don’t go cutsy. I love pink but watch any baby pink stitching and details. The ringer tee (obsessed!) gets it right.
- Be wary in the juniors department (and definitely size up). You can score a great deal by shopping juniors but a lot of the styles we combed through looked like they belong on our teenage babysitter, not us.
- Go army surplus: check out your local store to benefit from the low price. You can shop the mens (half tuck a tee into denim for a more flattering fit) and look for cool accessories you can have fun.
- Consider it a neutral! Add a crisp white button down, pair camo pants with strappy heels, or top a weekend look with a camo belt or trucker hat (like, ugh, if this camo + leather hat was 90% off!). It goes with nearly everything.

When you have that brief moment looking at the seemingly most perfect thigh or whittled waistline in a magazine, remember this: it’s called Photoshop.
