Best Thanksgiving Side Dishes

When it comes to Thanksgiving, I must confess I’m a sides girl. I could leave the turkey behind in favor of all of the delish side dishes. Here’s a few I’m spying to make with my brother as we prepare to have our family over for Thanksgiving dinner. Definitely thankful for these!

corn pudding ||  brussel sprouts with apples || sweet potato casserole (my/gram’s recipe, and one of TAGG’s first posts) || two-cheese squash casserole  || perfect cranberry sauce ||  || best ever green been casserole || butternut squash soup ||

So glad you posted this! I invited a family over at the last minute when I found out they were going to be all alone on Thanksgiving…and now I’m freaking out trying to come up with some great recipes!! That soup looks yummy - may give it a try :)

We don’t do any crazy sides, but since there’s 52 of us (27 under age 12) that go to my grandma’s now we do everything in huge amounts. A couple of turkeys, a couple of hams, and since my grandma cooks all the food we do a tons of desserts. I mean 10 different cakes, 10 kinds of pies, puddings, cookies, brownies, you name it. It’s crazy! I make the oreo cookie cake and my favorite sides are the deviled eggs and baked macaroni and cheese and home made yeast rolls. Yummmmmmmmmmmm. Can’t wait!

I can’t even imagine what you’re describing. :) Elastic pants — and a lot of patience, haha! — are definitely required.

I’m a big fan of the corn pudding! I just made it last week for a work party and everyone devoured it :) But that sweet potato casserole looks amazing! Yum!
