For as much as I’m at work — at least five days per week — I realized I’m often guilty of sharing more here of my night and weekend looks and not enough of what I’m wearing to the office. You can catch some of it on Instagram (@avggirlsguide), however here’s a look I wore earlier this week for a work meeting, and then a lunch meeting for the Women’s Foundation of Palm Beach County, a local nonprofit I’m involved with.

This skirt instantly called my name at Ann Taylor; great stripes, classic black and white, jacquard detailing, it’s so good. I snagged it during a big sale, but it’s now even less. It’s such a wardrobe staple: I’m also ready to wear it with a denim button down, and with one of my J. Crew light-weight sweaters, for example.  The camisole has this great mirrored print but I couldn’t resist adding a little neutral bling… just because. For a girls movie night, I later swapped out all the clothes for a black blouse and dark denim, keeping all the accessories, this necklace included, exactly the same.

PS: about five hours after taking these photos I chopped 3-4 inches of hair off; I shared it here, and love the results. I’ve struggled with thinning, scraggly ends — my roots are shockingly thicker than my ends — and this blunt cut makes my hair so much feel so much more thick.
