sporty chic style // the average girl's guide

I’m so excited to announce to you today that The Average Girl’s Guide has taken our love for Tarjay one step further: in addition to serving as part of its Inner Circle group, we’ll now be dishing up bi-weekly style content with outfits that integrate some of our favorite Target pieces, plus how us real girls wear the latest trends and more. It’s a natural collab and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

TAGG’s first assignment was to create a ‘sporty chic’ look, which has been so hot right now. Since I recently purchased this blouse (which subsequently inspired this post!), I couldn’t wait to show it off here. It’s sporty and chic all in one with its baseball tee shape and cool florals in a light weight chiffon fabric. Playing off another style I’ve been inspired by bloggers to recreate, I’m layering  this blouse over a faux leather sheath dress. Tada: looks like a skirt! It’s such a smart, fresh way to remix all your dresses for a completely new look. I can’t wait to try this again soon.

more fun, after the jump…

PS: while my husband doesn’t “get” this faux leather baseball hat I scooped up last fall at Target, I just adore it, and the price point couldn’t be beat. Do you have pieces a guy in your life just doesn’t get, and… well, oh well?
