essentials to win the day in 2014

Why, hello there, end of the first full work week of 2014! I thought it would be miserably slow but wow, that was fast. As we get back into the routine and hustle of the busiest time of year, I’ve teamed up with Clearasil to test out a few of their new products and share with you the key ways that help me #wintheday.

I totally believe wearing something special can put a smile on your face even during the most stressful moments. You guys probably know by now I never go anywhere without my Maya Brenner “s” necklace but I’m currently adding an E (!), so it was perfect timing when my sweetest colleague gave me this amazing delicate necklace with a “stamped ‘e’ and ‘s’ from etsy for the holidays. The necklaces have because a special moment with my daughter… she knows its how I keep her close to my heart even when we’re not together.

Other than that? I #wintheday with the most perfect black heel, a killer cup of coffee, and a satisfying on-the-go bar (Rebecca Minkoff turned me on to these Think Thin bars when I asked her what she snacks on).

With all those in check, it’s about the make-up essentials! First, isn’t this hello, gorgeous bag everything?

BaubleBar sent it over the holidays and I’m utterly obsessed. A few of my current make-up essentials include Urban Decay’s Naked eye palette (obsessed; mini version), bad girl lash mascara, Anastasia eye brow powder, Laura Mercier blush, and this beautiful Essie gold polish (less brassy than this pic).

When the craziness of the day ends, I’m committed in 2014 to taking better care of my skin. Typically it’s been a basic make-up wipe but I never (if we’re being honest) felt like I had that major clean. I’d be so wiped I’d just wait until my shower the next morning for a better wash. Clearasil recently sent me a few products from its Daily Clear line and since I admittedly haven’t used the line in at least a decade, I was excited to give them another try.

The Refreshing Superfruit Pads are way more than a make-up wipe; they provide an intense clean with a slight exfoliating feel. And, the Refreshing Superfruit Scrub leaves you completely confident you’ve cleaned your skin without any drying or harshness. I find myself excited to use this one every night… it’s found itself in permanent rotation, for sure.  The whole line is really awesome… plus, it smells really good! Now, you can try for free with this mail-in rebate!

What are the ways that you #WintheDay? And, any beauty products you’re completely coveting? Share in the comments section!
