DIY Initial Keychain

October 3, 2012

Hi all! It’s the first Wednesday of the month which means Erin from Thanks, I Made It! is here with a fab DIY. Love this one; sometimes the smallest projects yield the most happiness! And, PS: how amazing is her DIY projects gallery? Obsessed.

Hey everyone! Do you have trouble rooting around your bag for your keys like I do? My solution is a fun and bright keychain! For five minutes and less than $3, you can DIY it too.

Tools and materials:
Leather letter (I found mine for $1 at Hobby Lobby; also online here)
Fabric paint (I used Tulip So-Soft fabric paint in neon pink, leftover from this project)
Paint brush
Leather punch
Large jump ring (and pliers for opening/closing the ring)

Use the leather punch to add a hole in the letter.

Paint and let dry. Repeat for back side of the letter.
Open jump ring, slide on letter, and close around keychain. That’s it!
