Real Style at NYFW

September 13, 2012

One of my favorite parts of New York Fashion Week/New York in September was seeing all the style. No, not the ones on the runway, the ones donned by fashionable girls like you who know how to rock it. After weeks of agonizing what to wear while in the city I shockingly found myself most drawn to the simple looks, gorgeous frocks, denim, neons transitioning for fall, necklaces too good for words (I’m way too lazy to swap out earrings!), the perfect carryall, and of course, a killer pair of shoes.

I expected lots of dark hues yet hardly found any. How refreshing! Check out these looks for inspiration as you make the transition from summer to fall. No need to abandon fun colors — in fact, please don’t! — simply find ways to integrate them with darker denim and lace, neutrals (greys + beige!) and metallics.

    ROCK ON. I loved capturing real girl style in Paris–so I equally love that you did this in NYC, at FW no less. Loving the pops of color and the general ease of all these ladies. They seriously know how to rock it. I need to take cues. sigh. great post! xoxo {av}
