As you know, TAGG has long been a fan of Birchbox, the awesome monthly delivery service featuring about four to five deluxe beauty samples from top and emerging beauty brands. It’s $10/month, and the samples have introduced me to some new favorites and thankfully/truthfully, have saved me from spending money on products that weren’t for me. Even this non-beauty product addict is addicted to this!
So, when Birchbox let me send one special man a Birchbox Man I had to direct it to my husband. He’s the type of guy who — and I hope he doesn’t hate me for saying! — will practically forget to wash his face if I don’t remind him. Yet, he really cares about how he presents himself so I thought this would be an amazing way, like me, to introduce him to new products without forking over a lot of cash (I knew he’d like this rationale!).
So what did my man, the average (yet totally spectacular!) man think?
HIS VERDICT: He’s a fan. The John Varvatos cologne smells great (I’m a fan!) and the sample of the Kerastase is perfect for plenty of trips this fall (it’s huge!). Plus, he really liked the face wash, too. Gives you the ultra clean feeling. The Rumba watch was just a fun perk!
So would he order this? Yes… but: best for him to subscribe to for a few months to test out, and then take a break to test out the products, and streamline his routine before continuing to start it up again. I can relate (good answer, husband!). Birchbox is also an excellent gift for guys who always like the latest products, gadgets and toys; now their manly routine can keep up!
PS: also love getting a three month subscription for a hostess, a sweet friend who let you stay with them for a few days, or as a creative birthday gift.
