Coffee Table Style

August 14, 2012

An adult home practically requires a well designed coffee table. Do you notice that when you see a fabulous homes they all have stacks of design, fashion and coffee-table books, candles, coasters and gorgeous decorative pieces, often housed by a tray? It’s incredible: the tray really brings it all together.

Check out these tables for more inspiration. If you have young children you obviously have to determine what’s reasonable for your home. I love the second one here for a common space! Perhaps find durable children’s books for now. My nicer book collection gets stored on our entryway console and our coffee table tray simply houses magazines (mostly Time and US Weekly these days; love the contrast!), remotes and coasters. Eventually we’ll be able to chic-it-up again.

This post just made me realize how much I really need a coffee table. We’ve been using the one (!!) end table we have left as our coffee table. Ugh.
