Welcome to the second installment of Beauty Buzz. There’s a number of products I’m eager to share with you however after getting my latest Birchbox in the mail with you I said to myself, scratch that! I haven’t mentioned Birchbox in ages and think there are TAGG readers who would totally benefit from learning the buzz about this beauty!
Birchbox: each month for $10 give yourself a gift of this awesome package in the mail! Honestly, $10 is hardly a lunch at Panera these days (though saving that amount on a regular basis DOES add up!). I’m totally enamored by this concept whether you’re a beauty junkie or more reserved with your beauty purchases (I’m typically the later). Since beauty products can be pricey I hate doling out $20 or more on something I’m not sure is perfect for me. Birchbox takes away the mystery by getting your customized beauty profile and then delivering to you a box with four to six deluxe beauty samples from big and emerging brands.
Here’s my Birchbox this month. I decided to go for the box in partnership with Teen Vogue and wound up with essie’s luxe effects glittery polish in a cut above (note: I swear the Birchbox gods have been watching me eye this for three months), plus a tarte Lip Surgance lip tint (on first use: ultra moisturizing and goes on like a crayon, no joke), Shiseido blotting papers, a fragrance by Annick Goutal and a twistband hair tie in lime green (a personal color fave!). I’m totally thrilled with this month’s box, just for the polish and lip tint alone!
In my nearly a year of using this service, I think I have been disappointed once with the selection. Since this month’s box has been so kick-ass I felt compelled to remind readers why every girl deserves to treat herself (men, if you’re reading: awesome gift!).
